“Science with Youth” Event Held at Our University

The ‘Science with Youth’ event, organized by the Science Communication Office under our Communications Coordination Unit, took place on January 6, 2026, at the Conference Hall of the School of Foreign Languages. Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, as well as our academic and administrative staff, students, and 6th and 7th grade students and teachers from Pakkan Schools participated in the event.

As part of the event, our Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Murat Hamderi, presented a talk titled “From Idea to Product,” discussing the Turkish-German Solar Water Dispenser and Air Condensation Water Production projects developed within our university. Prof. Dr. Hamderi detailed the design, development, and implementation processes of the projects, sharing with the students how solutions were developed to overcome technical and practical challenges encountered during the process from idea to product.

Throughout the presentation, students showed great interest in the topic, asking questions about the product development process, engineering perspectives, and problem-solving methods. The event concluded after the question-and-answer session.
