TGU is a multilingual university. The education in undergraduate programs is mainly given in German; depending on the need and meaning, in postgraduate programs is given in German or English. In the framework of cooperation with German stakeholder universities, it is planned to give a German university diploma (in the form of 'double degree' or 'joint degree') in addition to the Turkish university diploma.
TGU, whose campus is located in Beykoz, Istanbul, started to provide services with several undergraduate and graduate programs in the 2013/2014 academic year, and students were admitted to a total of fifteen undergraduate programs in the 2021/2022 academic year.
In order to be admitted to TGU as a student, there is no requirement to know German language. Our language preparatory class provides one year German education for those who do not speak German. Those who know German at a high level (determined by language exam) can start education directly.
