“TGU-SIEMENS Robotics Program” Completes 2026 Season

21.04.2026

The “TGU-SIEMENS Robotics Program,” successfully conducted since 2021 in collaboration with our university and SIEMENS Industry and Trade Inc., has completed its 2026 season. This program makes significant contributions to developing the competencies of high school students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Through the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) platform, students had the opportunity to develop not only their robotics skills but also 21st-century skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking. The combination of SIEMENS' industrial expertise and our university's academic knowledge greatly contributed to the training of qualified human resources, especially in fields such as mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science.

Throughout the program, the university's laboratory infrastructure and the robotics workshop, which is updated annually with the continuous support of SIEMENS, were strengthened with up-to-date technologies and comprehensive equipment. FRC coaches, comprised of our students, guided high school teams with the voluntary mentorship of SIEMENS engineers. Furthermore, presentations on current technologies and career meetings encouraged university students to closely follow industry developments.

The high school teams supported within the scope of the 2026 season were; Gültepe Robotics Team (6415), Haydarpaşa Panthers (9231), ROBEST Robotics (8500), Greatest of All Times (8092) and ALFA Robotics (8084). These teams achieved significant success in the regional competitions they participated in, and were awarded sustainability, jury special and first place awards.

We sincerely thank all our students, academics, SIEMENS employees, and high school students who voluntarily contributed to the successful implementation of this program, which is carried out in collaboration with our university and SIEMENS and supports the development of young talents.
