A Joyful and Enthusiastic 10th Graduation Ceremony
Our University's 2025-2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held with great excitement and enthusiasm on June 26, 2026. The ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, Istanbul Deputy Governor Hasan Gözen, Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel, Beykoz District Police Chief Cemal Ünlü, our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya Ferendeci, and Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan, as well as faculty deans, the school director, faculty members, graduating students, and their families.
At the ceremony, which began with a cortege march by our Rector, General Coordinator, Vice Rectors, academicians, and graduating students, opening speeches were delivered following a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.
In his address to our graduating students, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız stated that our graduates carry with them not only their diplomas but also scientific thinking skills, a culture of inquiry, adherence to ethical values, and multicultural life experience. Emphasizing that being a graduate of the Turkish-German University means being part of a strong academic tradition and an international perspective, our Rector congratulated our graduates and wished them health, happiness and success in their new lives.
In his speech, Istanbul Deputy Governor Hasan Gözen congratulated our graduating students and wished them success in their professional lives. Drawing attention to our university's multilingual structure, Gözen expressed his belief that our graduates will make significant contributions to society and our country with their knowledge and competencies.
Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel, in her speech, expressed her pleasure at being present at the Turkish-German University graduation ceremony and congratulated our graduating students, their families, and our academicians. Gürzel stated her belief that our graduates will represent the values and background of the Turkish-German University in the best possible way in their future lives.
In his speech, our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay stated that thanks to the dedicated work and strong intercultural competencies of Turkish and German academicians, our University has become a place where the value of the harmonious and productive cooperation of the two peoples can be seen. Noting that our graduates are appreciated in companies and the business world for their independent working skills and problem-solving competencies, our General Coordinator emphasized that this situation is the common success of all our teaching staff and employees, congratulated our graduates, and wished them success.
Speaking on behalf of the academic and administrative staff of our University, Faculty of Law Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Yılmaz Eren stated that the Turkish-German University is not only a school but also the representative of an international vision. Expressing that they strive to offer students a synthesis of two different cultures and disciplinary understandings, Eren stated that the global perspective gained by our graduates will provide them with a unique advantage anywhere in the world.
In his speech, our University's valedictorian, Faculty of Law Student Burak Aslan, emphasized the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's vision of education, science, and modernization, stating that the successes they have achieved today are a result of this legacy. Our student also thanked the academic and administrative staff of the Turkish-German University who supported them throughout their educational life.
Following the speeches, certificates of achievement and gifts were presented to the first, second, and third-ranking students of the University. During the ceremony, our students who demonstrated sporting and scientific success were also awarded.
Our 10th Graduation Ceremony concluded with the traditional cap-throwing ceremony after the students graduating from our Institute of Science, Institute of Social Sciences, and the Faculties of Science, Law, Culture and Social Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Engineering received their certificates of achievement. Our graduates and academicians immortalized this meaningful day with a group photo shoot.
