The second of the "e-parliamentary" sessions, the online platform by the WALD Youth Academy which is established within the World Academy of Local Government and Democracy (WALD) in order to adapt the developing technologies to democratic fields and to increase the participation of young people in this field, was held on May 11, 2022 at Turkish-German University (TGU).

Today's and Future Leaders are Together

The opening speech of the meeting was made by TGU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Akkanat. The session, in which opinions on the goal of ‘Sustainable City and Living Spaces’ were shared in line with the dimensions that the climate crisis and urbanization rates have reached on a global scale, brought today's leaders and future leaders together on a common ground to develop different point of views.

Sustainable Cities for a Green Future
In the session moderated by WALD Chairman of the Executive Board Mehmet Duman, the representative of the European Union Delegation to Turkey Angel Gutierrez Hidalgo de Quintana, United Nations Turkey Resident Coordinator Alvaro Rodriguez, Mayor of Beykoz Murat Aydın, and Turkish-German University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. B.
