Our Female Chess Athletes Achieve Medal Success at the Intercollegiate Championship

Our University's Chess Team successfully represented our University at the Intercollegiate Chess Turkey Championship, hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University between March 10-14, 2026.

Our women's team, competing in the championship, achieved a significant success by finishing 3rd out of 23 teams, winning a trophy and medals. WFM Sude Hereklioğlu, one of our women's team players, also earned an individual medal by being selected as the third best player in her category for her outstanding performance at the first board.

Our team, competing in the general category, finished the tournament in 11th place out of 40 teams.

We congratulate our University Chess Team and wish them continued success.
