Our Rector Attended the Commemoration Ceremony of Those Who Lost Their Lives in the Terrorist Attack

All the rectors of universities in Istanbul commemorated the ones who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on Taksim Istiklal Street on 13 November 2022.

Led by Istanbul University (IU), the commemoration event, which was held on Monday, November 21, 2022, in the area where the explosion occurred, ended with all university rectors’ leaving carnations in front of the platform after IU Rector Prof. Mahmut Ak’s speech in which he stated, “As all universities in Istanbul, as being both public and foundation (private) universities, we condemn this terrorist incident, and we believe that it will not affect the determination of our nation in any way, together with our belief that we will take more pride in living together from now on.”
