Our University Auditorium Opens with a Ceremony

Our University Auditorium was opened with a ceremony held on June 2, 2026. The program was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, TGU Consortium President Prof. Dr. Sabine Kunst, DAAD General Secretary Dr. Kai Sicks, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya-Ferendeci, Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan, our academic and administrative staff, and our students.

The program began with a musical performance by our university students. Following this, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız and our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay delivered their opening speeches.

In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız stated that the development of universities is evaluated not only by the number of students or the variety of departments, but also by the physical and social facilities they offer to their students. Our Rector stated that the new auditorium will significantly contribute to the development of our University by offering a wide range of uses, from academic events to cultural programs, student activities to international organizations.

Our General Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, stated in his speech that the auditorium is more than just a physical structure; it is an important forum where academic dialogues, interdisciplinary interactions, and exchanges of ideas will take place. Our General Coordinator said that many anecdotes and unforgettable moments will emerge during this process, impacting and connecting both faculty members and students for a long time.

Our New Promotional Film Shown for the First Time
Following the speeches, the Turkish and German versions of our University's new promotional film, prepared by our Communication Coordination Office's Corporate Communication Office, were shown for the first time. The promotional film, reflecting the University's academic structure, student life, and campus facilities, was watched with interest by the participants.

The opening program concluded after the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
