THE Impact Rankings 2025 Success from Our University

According to the results of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluates the contributions of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), our university was included in the rankings for the first time this year. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, who evaluated the results, said, “We managed to enter the list in a ranking process that we applied for the first time. This is a very important success for us. I congratulate everyone who contributed.”

With this international ranking, the impacts of universities in the fields of society, environment, economy and governance are evaluated with comprehensive indicators. Our University, which is in the 1001-1500 band among 2318 institutions evaluated with a total score of 50.8, was included in the evaluation by being ranked in six of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations this year.

Our university ranked in the 801-1000 band with a score of 58.4 in the “Partnership For The Goals-SDG 17” category, one of the areas where it showed the strongest performance. Under this heading, our university displayed remarkable success especially in the areas of cooperation relations with other institutions (95.6 points) and sustainable development education (87.0 points). In the “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions-SDG 16” goal, it ranked in the 601-800 band with a score of 45.5, demonstrating its efforts to create a sustainable structure in the areas of corporate governance, legal education and public cooperation. Our university ranked in the “Decent Work and Economic Growth-SDG 8” category with a score of 48.7; in the field of “Affordable and Clean Energy” (SDG 7), it managed to be in the 601-800 band again with 42.8 points. Significant developments were made in employment practices and energy efficiency in these fields. Our University, which entered the ranking with 30.5 points in the title of “Gender Equality” (SDG 5) and 25.7 points in the title of “Zero Hunger” (SDG 2), continues to make progress in these areas.

Our university aims to continue its efforts towards sustainable development goals and to rank higher in the coming years.
