May Declared Plastic Waste Collection Month
In line with our responsibility to build a sustainable future at our university, May 2026 has been declared "Plastic Waste Collection Month" at the institutional level. Within the scope of the work carried out in cooperation with Beykoz Municipality Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate, the goal is to collect 2 tons of plastic waste throughout May, and waste collection containers have been placed at various points on campus.

If the set goal is achieved, it is planned that on June 1, 2026, Beykoz Kahvecisi will offer coffee on our campus, and the same day will be celebrated as the "Zero Waste and Sustainability Festival". At the event, participants were encouraged to bring their own cups for coffee in order to minimize waste production.
