President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar visited our University on 25 December 2023. Within the scope of the visit, the Turkish-German University Senate Meeting was held at the SFL Conference Hall under the chairmanship of CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. Speaking at the Senate Meeting held with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Prof. Dr. Ali Gökhan Yavuz and Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya-Ferendeci, CoHE President Özvar said: "I visit universities all over Turkey whenever I have the opportunity. If there are problems related to education and training, we identify them face to face. The contribution of Turkish-German University to science and the productive, strong graduates it raises stand out as the two most important contributions to its reputation. In this context, we are ready for anything you may ask from us."

After the Senate Meeting, CoHE President Prof. Erol Özvar met with our students in D Block Conference Hall. Mr. Özvar, who had an interview with our students, said, "You should take advantage of the opportunities your university provides you. We need real friendships. These friendships lead you to grow together. Virtue, courage, sacrifice and generosity can be achieved by experiencing and sharing these together. A university environment must allow our students to equip themselves with these qualities." He also said, "Our country will develop and grow together with you. On this occasion, I wish success to each of you in your studies." The program continued with the question and answer section.
