Turkish-German University 6th Graduation Ceremony

Turkish-German University (TAU) 2021-2022 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held with the presence of Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Prof. Dr. Hamide Ozden Ozkaya Ferendeci, Prof. Dr. Ali Gökhan Yavuz, faculty deans and faculty members, graduate students and their relatives on Friday, September 23, 2022. Rector Yıldız delivered the opening speech of the ceremony, which started after the National Anthem with a moment of silence in memory of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all martyrs. “You  are justifiably proud of graduating from a university that has become one of the leading universities in a short time, both in the country and abroad, and on international platforms, and now has a brand value. You graduate from this university, where you come as young people full of knowledge and success, as more equipped, more knowledgeable and more self-confident individuals. As a member of  Turkish-German University, you will realize this privilege wherever you go.” Prof. Dr. Yıldız stated. “As  Turkish-German University family, we fully believe that you will continue this success you have achieved by making great efforts in your future life and that you will have great achievements.” Prof. Dr. Yıldız also uttered.
After our Rector, TAU General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Since Ferit Küçükay addressed our graduate students through a video as he was not in Turkey and stated, "From now on, you are the best ambassadors of the Turkish-German University."
Assistant Professor Dr. Mehmet İpekoğlu from the Faculty of Engineering, who was invited to the stage to represent all the academic and administrative staff of our university, stated, “In just over ten years, Turkish-German University not only exceeded my imagination, but also transformed our country's understanding of higher education and carried it forward with each passing year. He also said to our graduate students as follows: “As graduates of Turkish-German University, you are the representatives and bridges of two great nations and two deep-rooted cultures that have been in great cooperation for centuries. This challening but very sacred burden will always take you forward in your professional life and will make you indispensable members of the communities you are a part of.”
The last of the opening speeches for the graduation ceremony was given by Batıkan Bora Ormancı, who graduated from the Computer Engineering Department as the top student in the university. Emphasizing the privileges of having lectures from faculty members at both TAU and partner universities, Ormancı was presented with a Certificate of Honor and a gift by Rector Yıldız and Ormancı concluded his speech with the following words: "I congratulate all my friends on their graduation and wish everyone success for the rest of their lives".
The ceremonies, where 348 students experiencing the graduation enthusiasm from twelve departments in the Faculties of Engineering, Science, Culture and Communication Sciences, Law and Economics and Administrative Sciences, ended after the presentation of the congratulatory certificates, cap throwing and group photo shoots.
